So these are some of my favorite pictures from Shop With a Cop. I really enjoyed shooting this assignment, but it was really hard to separate the emotional from the photo journalist aspect of the assignment. Shooting this assignment was really hectic. There were people everywhere, and it was difficult to know what was okay, and what was not okay to take pictures of. However, I was really glad that I was given the opportunity to shoot this assignment because it really helps you to think about your shots and where you should be shooting. It makes you realize that you have to get on the level of the kids. It also helps you to make sure that you get the WHOLE story in the picture. Sometimes it was hard to get both the kid, the toy, and the policeman in the shot. If there was something that I could have done differently, I definitely would have taken one more lens. I probably would have wanted to bring a 17-50mm just because it would have been a little more versatile that the 50mm. However, I do like the creamy background that the 50mm provides.
