1st Six Weeks Project (creeper)

ISO: iphone Aperture: iphone Shutter Speed: iphone Lens: iphone

This is our plan for our creeper project. We tried this picture last year, but it ended up being a fail because the lights at the track went out and we just didn't have the time to really do a good job on the picture. I think it will be really cool to have the phantom backlit, and I'm hoping that we will be able to really capture the essence of the whole town that dreaded sundown. Hopefully we will be able to find some people who will like to be good subjects. I'm really excited about all of the off camera lighting and the creeping.

ISO: 100 Aperture: 4.0 Shutter Speed: 1/200 Lens: 24-105mm

This is a picture that I took for the yearbook when the fair came to town. I was kind of aprehensive to take the picture because pictures of people eating are always awkward. However, I figured it would be fun to go to the fair and take pictures cause of all the colors and lights, even though I didn't really have the time to do anything other than the assignment. I wish I would have had more time to work on the picture, but the subject had to leave. I feel like this picture could have been better with off camera flash.

ISO: 800 Aperture: 5.6 Shutter Speed: 1/250 Lens: 24-105mm

This is a picture that I took today during class. I was really excited about taking this picture to begin with just because of the story behind it. Mrs. Carpenter's son gave his organs to another when he passed away, so I figured it would be interesting to shoot. It really wasn't difficult to shoot, but I wish I would have been given the opportunity to do something more creative with it. Like something in the studio with off camera flash. However, I don't think she felt really comfortable with the subject so it was better not too. Other than that, there weren't any issues. All I did was crop it and bring up the exposure a little bit in lightroom.

Bacon Fry!!

ISO: 800 Aperture: 2.5 Shutter Speed: 1/320 Lens: 50mm

This was a photo that I took at our school's annual bacon fry. These were some of my friends, and I'm not exactly sure what they were excited about, but I just absolutely love the expression on Jasmine's face! She just looks genuinely excited and I feel like this is one of the expressions that you can't just do. You have to be in the moment. The only thing I had to do to this pic was to crop it, because there was this guy in the background that was kinda distracting. I'm usually against cropping a picture to a square, but it was the only way that I could put the focus directly on the girls.

OMG IT'S THE FIRST POST OF SENIOR YEAR

ISO: 1250 Aperture: 2.8 Shutter Speed: 1/400 Lens: 17-50mm

This was a picture that I took over the course of this summer, and it happened to be my favorite!! This assignment was a camp at TC where kids got to go and discover wether they truly wanted to be in STEM or not. I really only shot this assignment because I got paid, but it turned out to be a whole lot more than that. Because I hadn't had the opportunity to shoot much over the summer, doing this assignment really helped get me back into the swing of things in photography. I ended up shooting well over a thousand images because this camp lasted for an entire week. To be honest, I like this picture a lot just because of the fact that it has fire in it. Fire is always fun to shoot. I also like the way the fire lights up the faces of the three chemists. I wish I had the chance to shoot things like this more often.
